Andrew Turnbull – guitar teacher based in Altrincham:

Founder of bandskool in 2003 – has been working in a variety of musical contexts for many years. This has included performance, composition, music therapy, production, promotions, and extensive work in the educational sector including private tuition, Further Education, Adult Education, Music Services and schools and other private organsations. A Philosophy-Psychology graduate with a post graduate Diploma in Popular Music and Grade 8 in guitar, he has been playing the ‘guitar family’ since 1978 and teaching it since 1990. Andrew is also the founder and director of the modern ensemble, DGKOLLECTIVE and promoter of AKOUSTIK and JAZZKLUB sessions.

‘I can offer instrument lessons in stringed-plucked instruments, including all types of guitar (electric, acoustic, classical) from beginner to advanced (most genres and techniques), slide/lap steel guitar, mandolin, Irish and Bluegrass Banjo, electric bass guitar and Ukulele. I can also offer lessons in theory, song writing, composing and/or arranging’
